Kui Buri National Park wildlife area
Viewing is only by park or licensed local vehicles. Safari runs start around 2 to 3pm and return before dusk. Register or book ahead on long weekends.
Dong Mafai Waterfall
A waterfall inside the park, a short walk from the car park and fullest in the rainy season — a good morning stop before the afternoon elephant safari.
Ao Noi and Kui Buri beaches
A very quiet stretch of the Gulf coast with fishing villages and fresh seafood restaurants, ideal for lunch before entering the park.
Suan Son Pradipat and Hua Hin
On the road down from Bangkok, an easy rest or lunch stop with toilets and a good choice of restaurants.
Khao Sam Roi Yot
The neighbouring national park about 30 minutes north, with Phraya Nakhon Cave and the wetlands. Both parks fit into one day with careful timing.
Kui Buri market and pineapple stalls
Kui Buri is famous for exceptionally sweet pineapples, sold from stalls all along Phetkasem Road at a fraction of Bangkok prices — an easy souvenir.

Kui Buri records exceptionally high sighting rates, especially from three to six in the afternoon when elephants and gaur graze in the open grasslands — an experience hard to match elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions
How long is Bangkok to Kui Buri?
About four to four and a half hours for the 300 km via Hua Hin and Pranburi. To make the afternoon safari, leave Bangkok around 7am.
Can the van drive into the wildlife area?
No. Only park or licensed local vehicles may enter, for safety and to avoid disturbing the animals. We drop you at the ranger station where those vehicles depart and wait for your agreed return.
Are elephant sightings guaranteed?
No one can guarantee wild animals, but Kui Buri's sighting rate is exceptionally high by Thai standards, particularly between three and six in the afternoon and from October to January when grass and water are abundant.
Does ฿5,500 include park and safari fees?
No. The ฿5,500 is the one-way vehicle charter covering fuel, tolls, driver and water. Park entry and the park's own safari vehicle are paid at the ranger station.
Is a day trip possible?
Yes, but you will get home late — the safari ends around 6pm and the drive back takes another four and a half hours, putting you in Bangkok near 11pm. If you are not in a hurry, a night in Pranburi or Hua Hin is far more comfortable.
On a full-day charter, what if we go over the time or distance?
If the van and driver stay with your group all day (same-day return or sightseeing stops), packages start at 12 hours · 360 km (Commuter ฿7,500 / Alphard ฿18,000). Extra time is ฿300 per hour for the Commuter or ฿600 per hour for the Alphard, and extra distance is ฿25/km (Commuter) or ฿45/km (Alphard). Entrance tickets are extra, and if you add stops or change plans along the way, we always tell you the price difference first. One-way transfers (Commuter ฿5,500 / Alphard ฿12,000) are a fixed fare with no extra time or distance charges.
