Chaweng Beach
Samui's main hotel area on the east coast. Before the trip you make your own way to the island pier by hotel or island transport; island transfers and the ferry are not included, so allow time for that leg too.
Don Sak pier
Where this route starts. Don Sak has several piers for different ferry companies, some distance apart, so send the company name or a photo of your ticket when booking and the driver waits at the right one. The crossing from Samui takes about 1–1.5 hours depending on the operator.
Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya
A Srivijaya-style chedi in Chaiya district, not far from Highway 41 early in the drive north. A short temple stop is easy to add; dress modestly when visiting.
Chumphon market
Chumphon comes about 3–4 hours after Don Sak — a good lunch stop, or an overnight if you split the trip over two days. The town market has southern food, traditional coffee and small local bananas to take home.
Hua Hin Railway Station
Hua Hin comes late in the drive, about three hours from Bangkok — an easy place to stretch and eat, or to stay the night on a two-day return.
Phra Nakhon Khiri (Khao Wang), Phetchaburi
The hilltop palace above Phetchaburi town before Bangkok, reached by a tram up the hill. Worth a visit only on a two-day return; check opening hours and admission first.

How far is Don Sak from Bangkok and how long does it take?
About 717 km, roughly 10–12 hours on the road including breaks, plus about 1–1.5 hours for the ferry from Koh Samui to Don Sak. If you would rather not do it in one day, split it with a night in Chumphon or Hua Hin.
Where does the van pick us up, and can it drop us at the airport?
The van waits at the Don Sak pier used by your ferry company. We drop you at any Bangkok home or hotel, or at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang airport, for the same fare. For a different pickup, such as Surat Thani town, send the location and the team confirms the price first.
Is the ferry included, and does the van come over to Samui?
The ferry is not included; the fare covers the vehicle with driver, fuel, tolls and drinking water from Don Sak pier to Bangkok, and you buy ferry tickets from the ferry company. The van does not cross to the island — if you want it to take the car ferry to your hotel, ask the team for a quote first. Meals, admission fees and driver accommodation on overnight trips are not included.
Should we choose the Commuter or the Alphard?
The Commuter has 9–13 seats and lots of space for luggage and beach gear. The Alphard has 6–7 seats and is more comfortable over long distances, with less luggage room. Tell us your passengers and bags and we will advise honestly.
Is the return trip from Bangkok to Koh Samui (Don Sak) the same price?
Yes. Bangkok or Suvarnabhumi/Don Mueang airport to Don Sak pier costs the same as this direction: ฿15,000 for a Commuter or ฿28,500 for an Alphard, per vehicle, one way. If you need both legs, send both dates together.
How do we book, and how much is the deposit?
Send your date, ferry company and arrival time at Don Sak, Bangkok drop-off, passengers and luggage via LINE @kingtocar or call 084-709-3719. The team confirms the vehicle and total, and a 50% deposit secures the booking with the balance paid on the day. Cancel at least 3 days before travel for a full deposit refund.
Can we stop or stay overnight on the way?
Yes. The driver takes regular meal and restroom breaks anyway. To visit Wat Phra Borommathat Chaiya, stay a night in Chumphon or Hua Hin, or stop at Khao Wang in Phetchaburi, send the plan on LINE and the team works out the timing and quotes it for you to confirm.
