Ban Phe Pier & Market
The main departure point for Koh Samet. Passenger ferries take roughly 30–45 minutes, speedboats about 15. The market beside the pier sells dried seafood and local snacks.
Koh Samet
Hat Sai Kaew, Ao Wong Duean and Ao Prao are the best-known beaches. A national park entrance fee is collected on the island, with different rates for Thai and foreign visitors, so bring cash.
Mae Ramphueng Beach & Khao Laem Ya
A long mainland beach you can reach by road, with a headland viewpoint looking across to Koh Samet. A good option if you want the coast without taking a boat.
Tung Prong Thong, Pak Nam Prasae
A boardwalk winding through a golden-green mangrove forest in Klaeng district, about 40 km from Rayong town. The retired warship HTMS Prasae sits nearby on dry land.
Suphattra Land Fruit Farm
A large orchard in Wang Chan district. From April to June it is durian, mangosteen and rambutan season, with tram tours and fruit tasting. Check opening days outside that window.
Wat Pa Pradu
A historic temple in Rayong town housing a reclining Buddha that lies on its left side, unusual in Thailand. An easy stop on the way into town or on the drive home.
One flat price, no surprises
A Toyota Commuter for 9–13 passengers is ฿4,000 per one-way trip, and a Toyota Alphard for 6–7 passengers is ฿9,000. Fuel, expressway tolls, the driver and bottled water are all included.
Door to the Koh Samet pier
The van drops you right at Ban Phe pier, so there is no songthaew or taxi to arrange for the last stretch. Step out, buy your boat ticket and you are on the water.
Stops along the way
Restroom breaks, a seafood lunch or a fruit stand stop are all fine. Tell us where you would like to pause when you book so the schedule has room for it.
50% deposit holds the booking
A 50% deposit confirms the vehicle and driver; the balance is paid on the day of travel. One-way, same-day return and overnight charters are all available.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the drive from Bangkok to Rayong take?
Around 2.5 to 3 hours to Rayong town, plus another 20–30 minutes to reach Ban Phe pier. On Friday evenings and Thai long weekends, allow at least an extra hour.
What is included in the ฿4,000 price?
Fuel, expressway and motorway tolls, the driver's fee and bottled water are all covered by the flat fare. Boat tickets, national park fees, attraction entry and the driver's accommodation on overnight charters are not included, and we confirm any of those in writing before you book.
Can the van cross over to Koh Samet with us?
No, vans stay on the mainland. We drop you at Ban Phe pier and you take the ferry or a speedboat across. On the island, getting around is by local songthaew or motorbike taxi. For return trips, we simply agree a pickup time back at the pier.
Is a Bangkok–Rayong day trip realistic, and can we stop along the way?
A same-day return works well for mainland spots such as Mae Ramphueng Beach or Ban Phe, leaving Bangkok around 6am and starting back by late afternoon. Stops are welcome; just list them when booking. If Koh Samet is the goal, one overnight makes the trip far more relaxed.
How are overnight trips priced and how do I book?
The ฿4,000 fare covers one direction. For overnight stays you can either have the van return and come back on your pickup day, or keep the van and driver with you throughout, which is quoted by the number of days and the itinerary. How much is a taxi from Bangkok to Rayong?
Our private van taxi from Bangkok to Rayong is a fixed price per vehicle, one way: Toyota Commuter ฿4,000 (9–13 seats) or Toyota Alphard ฿9,000 (6–7 seats), including driver, fuel, tolls and drinking water — no meter and no surcharge for luggage. Pickup from Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang airport is the same fare. The return from Rayong costs the same.
On a full-day charter, what if we go over the time or distance?
If the van and driver stay with your group all day (same-day return or sightseeing stops), packages start at 12 hours · 360 km (Commuter ฿7,500 / Alphard ฿18,000). Extra time is ฿300 per hour for the Commuter or ฿600 per hour for the Alphard, and extra distance is ฿25/km (Commuter) or ฿45/km (Alphard). Entrance tickets are extra, and if you add stops or change plans along the way, we always tell you the price difference first. One-way transfers (Commuter ฿4,000 / Alphard ฿9,000) are a fixed fare with no extra time or distance charges.
