Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat
Home of Phra Phuttha Chinnarat, on the Nan river in the city centre. Open from early morning; arriving before 9am avoids crowds and heat. Dress modestly; a souvenir market sits at the entrance.
Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park
A mountain park with cracked-rock plateaus, mushroom-shaped stones and a history of political conflict. Cool year round, with a steep winding approach best driven in daylight.
Chan Palace
An archaeological site believed to be the birthplace of King Naresuan, with a shrine and excavated ruins, a short distance from the main temple.
Tai Market and the hanging-leg noodles
A riverside market serving local food including Phitsanulok's distinctive 'hanging-leg' noodles, eaten sitting on a raised bench above the river.
Naresuan University

How long is Bangkok to Phitsanulok?
About five to six hours for the 400 km along the Asian Highway via Nakhon Sawan, or up to seven on long weekends. Start early and break the journey at Nakhon Sawan, exactly midway.
What is included in ฿6,500?

Can we continue from Phitsanulok to Sukhothai?
