Bangsaen Beach
A 2.5 km stretch of sand lined with seafood restaurants and deck chairs for rent. Weekends are very busy, so arriving before 10am secures both parking and a decent spot on the sand.
Nong Mon Market
Chonburi's best-known souvenir market for khao lam bamboo rice, dried shrimp, dried squid and palm sweets. It sits on Sukhumvit before Bangsaen and is an easy stop on the way home, though weekend evenings get crowded.
Khao Sam Muk
A viewpoint over the whole Bangsaen bay with a Chinese shrine and a resident monkey troop — keep food and sunglasses out of sight when you step out. Late afternoon gives the best sunset.
Ang Sila
An old fishing village famous for granite mortars and fresh seafood, with a fish market and reasonably priced restaurants. It is around 10 minutes from Bangsaen and makes a good lunch stop.
Burapha University
Right beside Bangsaen beach, with an Institute of Marine Science and public aquarium that work well for families and school trips. Parking is generous and access is straightforward.
Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate
A very large estate at Bang Na–Trat km 57 with hundreds of factories. Entry passes a checkpoint, so give the driver the host company name and an internal contact number in advance.
The nearest beach to Bangkok
Bangsaen is only about ninety minutes away, easily done as a day trip without an overnight stay — which makes it ideal for families with young children or older relatives.

How long does Bangkok to Bangsaen take?
Usually one to one and a half hours via Motorway 7. On Friday evenings, Saturday mornings and long weekends it can stretch to two or two and a half hours, so leaving before 7am gives the smoothest run and a full day at the beach.
What does the ฿2,800 include?
Fuel, motorway and expressway tolls, the driver and bottled water are all included, with nothing collected on the day. Not included are entrance fees, meals, beach chair rental, and ฿500 per night driver accommodation on overnight charters.
Is a day trip worth it, and which booking type is best?
If you plan several stops such as Bangsaen, Ang Sila and Nong Mon, an eight-hour charter at ฿5,350 for a Commuter beats paying ฿5,600 for two one-way trips, and the van stays with you all day.
Can the van drop us at a beachfront hotel entrance?
Yes. Most Bangsaen hotels and condominiums allow drop-off at the door. For group villas down narrow lanes or with height barriers, send a Google Maps pin before booking and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach it.
Is Amata Nakorn the same price as Chonburi town?
Yes, ฿2,800 for a Commuter, since both are around 78 km. If you need to visit several factories in one day, an hourly charter works better, and giving the driver the host company name and an internal number speeds up the checkpoint.
On a full-day charter, what if we go over the time or distance?
If the van and driver stay with your group all day (same-day return or sightseeing stops), packages start at 7 hours · 210 km (Commuter ฿4,800 / Alphard ฿11,450). Extra time is ฿300 per hour for the Commuter or ฿600 per hour for the Alphard, and extra distance is ฿25/km (Commuter) or ฿45/km (Alphard). Entrance tickets are extra, and if you add stops or change plans along the way, we always tell you the price difference first.
