Wat Sothon Wararam Worawihan
Home to Luang Pho Sothon, the province's most revered Buddha image, housed in an imposing white ordination hall. Weekends are extremely busy, so arrive before 9am. A souvenir market sits out front.
Wat Saman Rattanaram
Famous for its 16-metre reclining pink Ganesha, one of Thailand's most photographed statues, on the Bang Pakong river with a riverside market and restaurants in the grounds.
Wat Pak Nam Jolo
A temple with an entirely gold ordination hall standing on the riverbank, striking in photographs and about 20 minutes from town — an easy addition to the same temple route.
Ban Mai hundred-year market
An old riverside market of original wooden shophouses on the Bang Pakong, serving local food and traditional sweets. Liveliest at weekends and comfortably walked in one to two hours.
Bang Khla floating market and Wat Pho Bang Khla
Wat Pho Bang Khla is home to a large colony of flying foxes roosting in the temple trees — an unusual sight — with the weekend Bang Khla floating market nearby.
Khao Hin Son Development Study Centre
A royal-initiative centre with botanical gardens and demonstration farm plots. The air is fresh and it suits families looking for a relaxed nature stop.

Wat Sothon, Wat Saman Rattanaram and the giant Luang Pho Sothon complex are all within 20 to 30 minutes of each other, and the van waits at every stop so you never hunt for onward transport.

Frequently asked questions
How long is Bangkok to Chachoengsao?
About one and a half to two hours. Motorway 7 is noticeably faster than the Bang Na–Trat road. On Saturday mornings and long weekends allow an extra 30 to 45 minutes as everyone leaves town at once.
Can we visit three or four temples in a day?
Yes. An eight-hour charter at ฿5,350 for a Commuter covers Wat Sothon, Wat Saman Rattanaram, Wat Pak Nam Jolo and Ban Mai market comfortably, with the van waiting at each stop.
What is included in ฿2,400?
Fuel, expressway and motorway tolls, the driver and bottled water. It is a flat one-way whole-vehicle price, not per head. Entrance fees, donations, meals and ฿500 per night driver accommodation are separate.
Is it comfortable for elderly passengers?
Yes. We drop at each temple entrance rather than a distant public car park, and the driver helps with bags and can seat older passengers in the front or first row. Just tell us in advance if anyone uses a wheelchair.
Can we do temples in the morning and Pattaya in the afternoon?

On a full-day charter, what if we go over the time or distance?
If the van and driver stay with your group all day (same-day return or sightseeing stops), packages start at 10 hours · 300 km (Commuter ฿6,450 / Alphard ฿15,350). Extra time is ฿300 per hour for the Commuter or ฿600 per hour for the Alphard, and extra distance is ฿25/km (Commuter) or ฿45/km (Alphard). Entrance tickets are extra, and if you add stops or change plans along the way, we always tell you the price difference first. One-way transfers (Commuter ฿2,400 / Alphard ฿7,500) are a fixed fare with no extra time or distance charges.
