Sarasin Bridge
The original bridge over the Pak Phra channel is now a pedestrian bridge and viewpoint; vehicles leave Phuket on the parallel Thao Thep Kasattri and Thao Si Sunthon bridges.
Surat Thani town and San Chao market
A riverside city on the Tapi, on the way to Don Sak pier, with southern restaurants and an evening food market—a good meal or restroom stop before the ferry.
Don Sak pier
The ferry port for Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, with separate piers for different companies. The ferry to Samui takes about 1.5 hours; on holidays there can be a queue.
