Chanthaboon Riverside Community
A pedestrian street along the Chanthaburi river lined with wooden and colonial-era shophouses from King Rama V's reign, with cafés, craft shops and open heritage houses. Best walked in the morning or late afternoon.
Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception
Thailand's largest Gothic-style church, over a century old, with beautiful stained glass and a gem-adorned statue of the Virgin. It faces the riverside quarter across a footbridge.
Chanthaburi Gem Market
The region's busiest gem trading market, open Friday to Sunday from morning to afternoon, with dealers from many countries trading in the open. Non-experts should browse or buy only from certified shops.
Phlio Waterfall
Inside Namtok Phlio National Park, with shoals of soro brook carp in the stream and a 15-minute walk from the car park. Water flows year round but is fullest in the rainy season.
Orchards and Noen Sung fruit market
From April to June many orchards open for in-garden fruit buffets, while Noen Sung wholesale market offers the best prices for taking quantities home.
Noen Nang Phaya viewpoint
On the coastal road between Chanthaburi and Trat, this sweeping seaside curve is among eastern Thailand's finest viewpoints — worth a stop in the morning or evening light.

Frequently asked questions
How long is Bangkok to Chanthaburi?
About three to three and a half hours via Motorway 7 then Sukhumvit Route 3. On long weekends and during fruit season it can reach four hours, so an early start gets you there before noon with a full day ahead.
When is the best time to visit?
April to June for durian, mangosteen and rambutan season; November to February for comfortable weather in the old town; and July to October for Phlio waterfall at its fullest.
Is a day trip realistic?
Possible but tiring — about seven hours of driving leaves under five hours on the ground. If you must return the same day, a twelve-hour charter at ฿7,500 for a Commuter works, but an overnight stay is far better value.
What is included in ฿4,500?
Fuel, motorway and expressway tolls, the driver and bottled water. It is a flat one-way whole-vehicle price. National park fees, fruit buffets, accommodation and ฿500 per night driver accommodation are separate.
Can we continue from Chanthaburi to Koh Chang?
Yes, it is the same road — Chanthaburi comes before Trat and Laem Ngop pier. Send the whole itinerary on LINE and we will advise whether a continuing route or a daily charter is better value. Reach the pier before 5pm for the last ferry.

If the van and driver stay with your group all day (same-day return or sightseeing stops), packages start at 12 hours · 360 km (Commuter ฿7,500 / Alphard ฿18,000).
